Bootcamp style workout. Huge AO! 1/2 mile and .9 mile track. 2 Large pieces of playground equipment for pullups and hanging exercises. Over half a dozen soccer and lacrosse fields. The possibilities are endless for your Monday beatdowns!
The First Monday of each month will be a Murph workout in honor of Lt. (SEAL) Michael Murphy.
King of the Hill:
This was a surprise snotwoggle. Was not expecting it but thankful anyways.
Pax: Phat Thor(Q), Bourbon(6), Guardian, Fossil, Van Gogh, Soda Pop, Jennay, Maui, Coconut, Peach
We opened up with some introduction, Mission, 5 cores, etc etc. It was not as cold as I was afraid it would be but it wouldn’t have mattered anyway. We warmed up very quickly.
Warmup: mosey over to the hill and did some daisy pickers and chain breakers.
The Thang:
This is a form of tag. The safe zone was the parking lot and is where we did the ladder workout. Adding on each exercise every round:
5 Burpees
10 BBS
15 Panther Taps
20 Freddie Mercuries
25 Merkins
30 LBC’s
35 Monkey Humpers
40 Overhead claps
Tag Portion:
When you left the safe zone, you had to run to the cone, up the hill and back down to the parking lot without getting tapped. If someone behind you caught up to you, you had to go back and begin your the rung of the ladder that you just did. You got a point for each rung of the ladder you completed and for every person you tapped.
Winners: 3 way tie(of course)
Coconut, Bourbon, and Van Gogh all had 11 points
Announcements and prayer at the end. Soda Pops dad getting tested for tremors and for the homeless as we approach winter.
