Boot camp style workout at the Shops at Fallen Timbers. Group will meet next to the movie theater. Easy access to the Wabash Cannonball Trail for some running or rucking. Also, plenty of blacktop to make use of, not to mention a little green space across from the theater.

  1. Team Sports at the battlefield–12/11/21 (Today’s QiC loves a good palindromic date)

    Wipers, Mercy, Rudy, Charlotte, Footloose, Woodstock, Thai Guy, Fat Amy, Huckleberry, Coconut (Co-QiC), Solo (Co-QiC)

    Intro, Mission, and Core principles were reviewed. Warmed up the PAX with some SSH, Windmills, and Imperial Walkers in Cadence. Pax then picked up their CMUs and basically didn’t put them down for the next 45 minutes.
    Rifle carry from the shovel flag to the field of play–today the amphitheater area near the pond, since the regular field was stupid saturated after a dark and stormy night. It made for a pretty long rifle carry, which got the PAX grumbling before the main event even started :).

    In true schoolyard fashion, Solo was first captain and Coconut was second captain and picked teams. 11PAX, so the teams were uneven. last guy picked was–predictably–Woodstock, so Solo’s team was saddled with the extra baggage.
    we played 6 rounds of the game. each round went like this–
    Teams line up along their goal line. Directly across from a player from the opposite team. At the signal, begin murder bunnying across the field, toward your opponent. When you meet near the middle, both players convert to rifle carry the rest of the way across the field. When you arrive at the opposing team’s end-zone begin repping. the team must complete the specified total of reps, and then return to their own goal line by rifle carry to win the round.
    Since the teams were un-even, after each round the team of 5 red-rover called one pax from the other team to their side for the next round.

    Round 6–1000 flutter kicks–team Solo in a landslide.

    Shoulder carry schlep the blocks back to teh shovel flag and ended with a COP of block-incline merkins to 100.

    Prayers for Mosaic Ministries Christmas shop event today, caroling, our boy Bongo with his knee issue, and many friends/relatives undergoing or recovering from medical procedures.

    It was an Honor and a Joy to participate with, and lead such a fine group this morning.
