Moseyed to the shelterhouse. Asked the PAX if all had seen the classic film “Groundhog Day,” which all had seen. Presented a list of 10 exercises, spelling out “Bill Murray.”5 Burpees

50 big boY sit-upsThe goal was to complete these in 3:10, which just happens to be the length of “I Got You Babe,” by Sonny and Cher. We completed one round, then did 10 SSH and 10 pull-ups. Most got to around the 8th-9th round.
Reset the timer with the goal to better the total from the first time. Surprisingly, the same song came up again! I believe everyone bettered their score between rounds. We did a total of 5 rounds with the I Got You Babe timer, with box jumps, tricep dips, and more SSH in between. As a group, we cycled through the humor of Round 2, annoyance of Round 3, anger of Round 4, then finally coming to terms with the continuing pattern, practically begging for a Round 5. Good mumblechatter all around. It was a fun and exhausting challenge to try and top our individual totals each round.
