7/18/2022 – Grand Opening of Camelot!
PAX – Woodstock, Footloose, Bourbon, Stark, Doubtfire, Vespa(6), Slider, Fat Amy, Gulliver, Cinnamons, Chewie, Stalker, Lonzo, Flo, Rudy, Chit Chat, Load, Mercy, Barney(Q)
The Men of Black Swamp welcomed the newest AO to the Region. Nestled in the quiet, sleepy town of Whitehouse, the PAX have located the perfect location along the Wabash-Cannonball Trail. Near Generals Ice Cream, the location offers an enormous covered Pavilion, a near perfectly straight running path, a beautiful downtown area, and access to multiple playgrounds with pull-up bars.
Today’s exercise consisted of a light mosey to The Whitehouse Inn(The local Tavern) where we warmed up with Cadence work. To get us back to the Trailhead, the PAX participated in the “Blue Light Special.” 10 Burpees at every lightpost, 10 Squats at every front door, and 10 Merkins at every blue landscaping light.
The PAX then split into 4 teams of 5…or was it 5 teams of 4?? One PAX from every team ran to the cone down the path for 3 Burpees, and came back to trade off. Meanwhile, the rest of the team was doing 50 reps each of Big Boys, Leg Raises, Flutter Kicks, and X-Factors.
Next, the same teams played a game of “Caboose.” Just down the path is a Little Red Caboose. In turn, each PAX had to do 10 Burpees; all the while, the rest of his team was doing the exercise of the “Caboose’s” choice.
As lore would have it, the PAX settled in about the Round Table and discussed the proper title for this most splendid location. Sir Footloose graciously expounded in great detail the history of a brave group of men who once formed the Pythian Castle, a structure of great magnitude located in the heart of Whitehouse, OH. This group of yore was formed upon three principles: Friendship, Charity, and Benevolence. Three principles not so unlike the three that are contained within F3. Additionally, the Whitehouse located at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. was once known as Camelot. It seemed fitting that this AO should carry that name…
