Spreading a little further east into Oregon, OH with our newest beatdown in the Black Swamp! This AO is at Fassett Junior High School, home of the Eagles, plenty of room for all kinds of fun beatdowns.

    Warmorama–crawling through the parking lot

    PAX lined up along a parking space line.
    Bear Crawl out 2 stripes–1 Hand-release merkin
    Bear crawl out 2 more stripes–2 HRM
    Bear crawl 2 stripes–4 HRM
    Bear crawl 2 stripes–8 HRM
    Bear crawl 2 stripes–16 HRM, then hold plank for the 6.
    With no recover
    16 2-is-1 mountain climbers –Crawl bear 2 stripes
    8 Mountain climbers–Crawl bear 2 stripes
    4 mountain climbers–crawl bear 2 stripes
    2 mountain climbers–crawl bear 2 stripes
    1 mountain climber and Recover.

    THANG:
    ‘race’ through 3 phases of partner work. Both partners must share the block carry at all times. Only one partner may speak in phase 1. i.e. keep count, suggest more efficient methods, encourage. Other partner may speak in phase 2. both may speak in phase 3.
    Phase 1. Partners complete an 11 of:
    PBJ Merkins and PBBBSUs
    Partner-Block-Jankey Merkins: block on the ground long ways between the two partners facing eachother. Both partners with 1 hand on the end of the block and one on the ground. Use same hand so body is to opposite sides of the block. Perform an offset, one-hand-elevated (aka Jankey) merkin, then switch hands on the block and repeato on the other side.
    Partners should switch hands on the end of the block at the same time, otherwise, the block may push one way or the other, and your partner ends up on his face.
    PBBBSU: partner big-boys, passing the block back and forth with each rep.

    Phase 2. Partners complete an 11 of:
    Partner block squats and Partner block swings
    Both partners must have a hand on the block for the squats. on the swings, each partner executes a swing for a count of 1, passing the block between them.

    Phase 3. Partners complete a lap of the track, sharing the carry of the block at all times.

    The lesson of the ‘game’ here is to think about how to do this awkward thing in a way that will work, and communicate it to your partner, when you’re the one talking. and to shut up and take direction when you’re not. Hopefully by the time you’re running around the track with both people holding onto the block, you’ve found a fairly efficient way to move.

    All pairs completed all phases by 6:05, so we rounded things out with a stretch-o-rama.
