What the ruck is a ruck? A hike with a weighted backpack (approx 30 lbs) while stopping along the brisk walk to do some invigorating exercise. Excellent 1st F (fitness) and 2nd F (fellowship). If an FNG (Friendly New Guy) is a bit timid to post for a workout the ruck is a great intro to the pax.

Backblast for the Ruck at Necropolis 10/19/21
PAX: Flo, Casper, Reset, Lego, Geppetto, Nitrous, Venom, Coconut (Q)
8 PAX met at Necropolis in the brisk fall air (~48 degrees) under a nearly full moon for a ruck.
Intro: Mission and Core principles
Ruck to Davis overlook and circle up at the parking lot to introduce today’s theme:
VAPE from the Q-source. This acronym covers the essential leadership skills called out in the Qsource–Vision, Articulation, Persuasion, Exhortation.
Pax did PT corresponding to each acronym letter and rucked up and down the hill with discussion of each leadership point.
V = V-ups (300 as a group) Discuss vision for F3 while walking
A = American Hammer (300 as a group) Discuss articulating that vision while walking
P = Prisoner Squats (100 as group) Discuss persuasion while walking.
E = El Capitain- lunge walk up the hill while exhorting one another.It was a nice idea, but the QIC didn’t pay attention to the time, and had to abandon the ascent of El Capitain half way up.
