We meet in the backside parking lot of the Fort Meigs Historic Site take Rapids Rd right before the bridge to Maumee to find us
What the ruck is a ruck? A hike with a weighted backpack (approx 30 lbs) while stopping along the brisk walk to do some invigorating exercise. Excellent 1st F (fitness) and 2nd F (fellowship). If an FNG (Friendly New Guy) is a bit timid to post for a workout the ruck is a great intro to the pax.

We checked out the new concrete the city of Maumee put down that leads to the “Point” out on the eastern-reach of the Side Cut trail. The pax commented on the quality craftsmanship and the fiscal responsibility of Iso’s wife and the rest of the Maumee City Council. We covered the first 1.1 miles in 17 minutes, so we bounced back, crossed the bridge to Orleans Park and through the refuse/sanitation portion of the park and crossed back over at the intersection at the top of the road near the cemetery.
On our ruck we conversed about travel plans, the Detroit Lions, spring training, LDP, Nitrous’ upcoming vacation to the Virgin Islands, and some other random things.
