   Warmup: Unofficially carrying Cindy to the UFO cones

   The Thang:

   In the gloom with every flashlight he could find Gulliver stood alone lining up cones on the Field of Dreams. Shoes very successfully pre-soaked and satisfied with the landing pattern he snuck a picture of the stars as unsuspecting PAX arrived. The goal of the workout was to go slow and feel the burn. I told the PAX it isn’t about who finishes first today, but who feel’s the workout tomorrow that wins. After carrying blocks to the field one HIM lined up on each side of a cone and rifle carried Cindy to the furthest marker.

   Furthest cone: One half and one full curl X5 while on your knees, Hip openers X5
   Middle Cone: Diving sit-ups X5, Dips on Cidy X5
   Starting Cone: Goblet Squats (without Cindy) X5, Merkins with hands on Cindy check touching if possible X5

   We stopped to smell the roses which turned out to be the song Flower by Moby. On our backs, legs hovering, we gracefully pulled our knees in, then out, to the words Sally Up and Sally Down. I think it was Footloose who wanted it as his ringtone after I mentioned flutter kicks were optional while holding the downs.

   A short bonus opportunity was offered to the men that I’m calling ‘7 Minutes in Heaven’; will this be a new F3 nation tradition? There are few things you get to do once in your life and being a V for a VQ is one of them. A few men were lured to the back of my car where I had a cooler, rubber gloves, baby wipes and much too clean block. To celebrate we gloved up and smashed cherries onto Cindy to give her some color and show I’ve taken her places beyond the Lowe’s parking lot. I’m still chucking at Landslide who swiftly walked away saying something like “He ain’t doing that shit”.

   Thank you to the 7 other men who joined me this morning, I had a blast making it weird. I’ll turn up the hard a bit next time!
