5 core principles, Mission, Beatdown explanation. Split up into 2 teams.
4 cones, in a large square. 1 cone in center.
1 exercise assigned to each cone. Always 2 Burpees at middle cone.
Do 5 reps at first cone, run to middle – 2 burpees. Run to second cone. 5 reps, then middle cone – 2 burpees. Repeat for 3rd and 4th cones. After 5 reps at all 4 cones, plus all burpees in between. Draw card from deck and put in box. Then Do 10 reps at every cone, plus 2 burpees at middle cone. After 10 reps at each cone plus the applicable 2 burpees, do 15 reps at each cone, then 20 reps at each cone. 2 Burpees at middle cone in between each corner cone.
After completing the rounds of 5,10, 15, and 20, repeat – start back and 5.
First half exercises – Sit-ups, merkins, Mike Tyson, Squats. 2 burpees at middle cone after each corner cone.
Half time
Second Half exercises – flutter kicks (2 is 1), Lt Dans, Air Press, hand release merkins, plus middle cone burpees.
Half time came when all the cards were drawn. Face cards = 3 points, Number cards = 2 points, Ace and Joker = 1 point. Team 1 won first half 64-54
Time was called on the second half, and Team 2 won second half by 6 points. (I forget final score)
This beatdown went very well. This format lends itself to much modification – rep counts, rounds, and exercises can all be adjusted. Music at middle cone, plus competitive aspect made this beatdown fun. 14 strong, for a fun beatdown.
You can thank Cinnamons for getting wet in the grass. He insisted sit-ups be included.
