PAX: Meatloaf, Lyman, Woodstock, Lonzo, Data, Fraction, Rudy, Footloose, Barney, Mercy (q)
Intro – Mission, Principles, intro to beatdown
Have you ever wanted to sleep in, maybe sleep forever? The Q woke up at 0445 and wanted to sleep more, but there was work to be done. It was a simple task, and the Q could’ve communicated the beatdown format better, but his plan to be 10 minutes early to the AO was derailed by a train.
(Why are trains still a thing?!)
Arriving 3 minutes ahead, the Q learned a lesson (2 is 1, 1 is none applies to plans too). However, the beatdown was simple.
Merkins
Squats
Pull-ups
Tricep dips4 stations, spread apart at a reasonable distance. Run to each station.
1 rep at each station, followed by 2 reps at each station. THen 3, then 4, and keep increasing by 1 rep until beatdown is over.
The PAX had split up and started at each station, anticipating a bottleneck at the pullups. The PAX adjusted on their own in the middle of the beatdown to solve the bottleneck. Things worked out. Around rep # 7 or 8, things started becoming challenging.
The best number of the PAX was finishing 15.
After time was called, and the PAX circled up in the pavilion, the refreshing sprinkle turned into a harder rain. Rudy2 helped the PAX learn a complicated formula to count their reps. To add 1 plus 2 plus 3 all the way to 14 or higher: N/2 * N + (N/2) = total number. For those that reached 14, 105 reps of each were performed.
It wasn’t intentional, but this was Murph practice. One can always benefit from Murph Practice. The PAX got close to 2 miles running, plus 100+ reps.
COT, Memorial Day DOUBLE Murph, Woodstock in a dress, Beer swap and wine tasting 6/5.
