The Battlefied Ruck (The Shops At Fallen Timbers)

When

June 14, 2025
5:30 am – 6:30 am

Where

The Battlefield
3100 Main St. , Maumee, Ohio, 43537

Event Type

What the ruck is a ruck? A hike with a weighted backpack (approx 30 lbs) while stopping along the brisk walk to do some invigorating exercise. Excellent 1st F (fitness) and 2nd F (fellowship). If an FNG (Friendly New Guy) is a bit timid to post for a workout the ruck is a great intro to the pax.

    Mission and Principles:
    F3: Fitness, Fellowship, Faith
Mission: To plant, grow and serve small workout groups for men for the invigoration of male community leadership.
The core principles of F3 are that it is always:
    1. Free of charge
    2. Open to all men
    3. Held outdoors, rain or shine, heat or cold
    4. Led by men who participate in the workout in a rotating fashion, with no training or certification necessary. You versus you. Modify or stop an exercise if you need to. The most important thing is that nobody gets hurt.
    5. Ends with a Circle of Trust
Credo: Leave no man behind but leave no man where you find him

    The “Thang”:

Rucked to College fight songs with a break of band music in between. If we couldn’t guess the right fight songs, we did 10 merkins. Most fight songs were Big 10 and SEC. We then did an Indian Ruck while throwing the football.

Ended with a Green Sally Up/Green Sally Down and the speech: Win one for the Gipper.

    Ended with:
    Count-O-Rama: 9

    Ball of Man

Quite a few HC’d but did not make it. It was rainy at about 60 degrees. Throughout the walk we listened to quotes from famous football players/coaches and reflected.
