    1/1/26 New Years Day Beatdown

    PAX list posted separate
Co-Q's: Footloose, Fat Amy, Viper, Waldo

    F3 Intro

    Warm-up: Motivators, Squativators

    The Thang:
    Break into teams of 4
Each team shares the weight of 2 cinder blocks – representing the burdens we carried through 2025.
As a group mosey over to Baer Park, carrying your weight, around the loop, and back to Conrad.
Had 4 checkpoints to stop and exercise at Baer Park: 1. Perfect Merkins, Captain Thor's, Body Builders, and Tricep Dips.

Returned to the library parking lot to get our hearts beating-
Each team pushed The Sleigh around the parking lot, added their burdens (cindys) to The Sleigh each round.
The final lap was all the cinder blocks plus CocoClaus riding it.

Finished with 365 count Circle Merkin.

COT: Arcy was 6, praising F3 BlackSwamp for our culture and what it has brought to his life. AYE!

Great start to what will be one heck of a year!

    Intro
    5 principles

A beautiful snowy morning, temps in the mid 20s. We rucked to the observation deck for some light work with a great view of the park. Mercans, bent rows & curls with packs. Then over the snowy trail for some good livin and camaraderie. Out the bike trail on the north side to the recycling station, then crossed the street to the south side of the park & back to the parking lot.
Thoroughly enjoyed having a special guest from the west as Photon (my broton) made the trip to see us out east.

A beautiful morning, a great ruck and better company.

    Workout: Error 404

    FNG’s: N/A

    Mission and Principles:
    F3: Fitness, Fellowship, Faith
Mission: To plant, grow and serve small workout groups for men for the invigoration of male community leadership.
The core principles of F3 are that it is always:
    1. Free of charge
    2. Open to all men
    3. Held outdoors, rain or shine, heat or cold
    4. Led by men who participate in the workout in a rotating fashion, with no training or certification necessary. You versus you. Modify or stop an exercise if you need to. The most important thing is that nobody gets hurt.
    5. Ends with a Circle of Trust
Credo: Leave no man behind but leave no man where you find him

    Warm-up: In Cadence

SSH (2is1): 202 (to represent YHCs 404th post of the year, which was not an error)

    The “Thang”:

Luck had it (but not really) that this was the 404th post of the year, so Error 404 seemed like a fitting theme. “We’re sorry, the page you requested could not be found. Please go back to the homepage.” Since we couldn’t find the beatdown that was requested, we went back to the homepage…YHC’s first Q of the year. And it just happened to be “New Challenger Approaching”, the introduction of The Crabsolution.

PAX performed 3 sets of abbreviated 11’s, each set with one of the top 3 least favorite exercises of 2024, one new exercise out of the crab position, and one MOT.

    Round 1: 7’s – Pull-Ups, 20 meter run (due to snow), Aussie Makhtar N’Diayes
    Round 2: 7’s – Thrusters, 10 meter Murder Bunny, Crab Jacks (2 is 1)
Round 3: 7’s – Absolutions, 10 meter Crab Walk, Aussie Groiners

After the final round of 7’s, there was a re-unvailing of the new the Crabsolution to the Whitehouse/Waterville PAX. The Crabsolution is essentially an Aussie absolution entirely out of the crab walk position. PAX did 5 in cadence, because any more is basically impossible.

    Ended with:
    Count-O-Rama: 5
    Name-O-Rama

    The Six – Purdy

    LDP3

    Ball of Man

Spreadsheets from the Gloom: 5F windchill due to the 27mph winds. There was no escaping the suck of the weather or the suck of the work. The only reason this run wasn’t as bad as the inaugural debut was because it was only 45 minutes instead of an hour. And we cut the crabsolution reps in half. It really is a horrendous monstrosity…so difficult that half of the pax couldn’t even perform 5 reps. Good to see that it’s getting the hate it deserves in this year’s “Best Of” polling. It’s the worst exercise by a long shot.

The playlist from the original made its return to accompany all the crabby PAX through their test of terrible.

    “Bad” – Michael Jackson
“Bad To The Bone” – George Thorogood & The Destroyers
    “Crab” – Weezer
    “Bad Day” – Daniel Powter
    “2 Bad” – Michael Jackson
    “Rock Lobster” – The B-52’s
“Everything Sucks” – Reel Big Fish
    “Sing For Absolution” – Muse
“Worst Is On Its Way” – Korn

It’s been a heck of a year…was good to reflect back on how it all started. Thanks to those who made it out for this one.

Our mission is to plant, grow and serve small workout groups for men for the invigoration of male community leadership.
Five principles are open to all men, always free, always outdoors, always led by a member of the pax. Only you know your medical history so modify if needed. End in a circle of trust,

Credo is leave no man behind, but leave no man where you found him.

    Workout name: Quads of Fury

    THE THANG:

Ran to the Orleans Park parking lot. Did a warmup lap and ran 10 laps sprinting/walking. We then ran to the Wall where we did 7 count squativators. After completion, we ran to the top of the hill and ran back on Front Street to the Orleans parking lot. We had some more time so we did frog lunges, Bernie Sanders, duck walk, downward dog crawls and finished with Monkey Howlers. We left the parking lot to go back to the flags.
