    Workout: What's Your Love Language?

    FNG’s: N/A

    Mission and Principles:
    F3: Fitness, Fellowship, Faith
Mission: To plant, grow and serve small workout groups for men for the invigoration of male community leadership.
The core principles of F3 are that it is always:
    1. Free of charge
    2. Open to all men
    3. Held outdoors, rain or shine, heat or cold
    4. Led by men who participate in the workout in a rotating fashion, with no training or certification necessary. You versus you. Modify or stop an exercise if you need to. The most important thing is that nobody gets hurt.
    5. Ends with a Circle of Trust
Credo: Leave no man behind but leave no man where you find him

    Warm-up: In Cadence

    Side Straddle Squirrel Jacks: 10
    Arm Circles Forward (4 is 1): 10
    Arm Circles Reverse (4 is 1): 10

    The “Thang”:

Learned about the 5 love languages, one language at a time.

    1. Quality Time: PAX performed 100 burpees for time. Goal was a quality time. Early finishers picked up the 6 until the 11 minute timer.
    2. Physical Touch: PAX partnered up by weight and performed a modified 11s until time. Exercises were partner squats on one end and plank-jack paddy-cake on the other end. MOT were either wheelbarrow or partner carry to the first light post.
    3. Acts Of Service: At the start of the 10 minute timer, all PAX started AMRAPing SSH in cadence indefinitely. As long as a PAX was performing SSH, they were still awake. The second each PAX had to take just one rep off, it signified them falling asleep. Once a PAX fell asleep, he was transported into his own personal nightmare. The nightmare was that individual PAX’s least two favorite exercises. AMRAPing and switching when necessary. That’s it. You fall asleep and you are forced into performing your two least favorite exercises for the remaining time. There was only one way to escape your own nightmare…to be woken up and freed by another PAX who performed an act of service to you and jumped into your place in that particular nightmare.
    4. Receiving Gifts: Q gave gifts to the rest of the PAX…the tires. PAX split into two teams and performed tire flips a la the 2025 Battlefield convergence. Buy-in was three perfect merkins before running to the tire and starting to flip. Max of two men on the tire at one time. One done with the tire flips, PAX ran back to start and performed buy-in reps again. Team who flipped the tire down and back to the light post was the winner.

    Ended with:
    Count-O-Rama: 9
    Name-O-Rama

    The Six – Tarnished

    LDP3

    Ball of Man

    5. Words of Affirmation: PAX went around the COT clockwise and gave a word of affirmation to the man on his left until every PAX had an opportunity to speak. We speak out so often about our families and communities, but rarely give praise to each other. It was a fantastic reminder of what our PAX bring to the table and to each other each and every post.

Spreadsheets from the Gloom: BB was written 6 days late, so I can’t remember the weather. It was cold though…but not for long. This was a burner. Nothing like starting off a beatdown with 100 burpees and ending it with tire flips. Add 600 SSH and partner carries in between and you’ve got yourself a winner.

Two winners really…there was a playlist:

“A Kiss To Send Us Off” – Incubus
    “Heartshine” – Mother Love Bone
“Love Rollercoaster” – Red Hot Chili Peppers
“High On Your Love Suite/One Mo Hit (Of Your Love) (Medley)” – Rick James
    “Love’s Dance” – Earth, Wind, & Fire
“State Of Love And Trust” – Pearl Jam
    “Heart-Shaped Box” – Nirvana
“Lover, Leaver (Taker, Believer)” – Greta Van Fleet
    “Love Foolosophy” – Jamiroquai
    “What Is Love” – Haddaway
Overall, the love language theme went well. Only thing I would change would be the nightmare portion of the Acts of Service. Not enough time during this beatdown to explain it adequately. It’s better held for a full beatdown. The rest was awesome, though. Loved the partner 11’s…would also make a great full beatdown in the future. And you can never go wrong with tires.

Words of affirmation was icing on the cake. Honored to have the rest of the PAX buy-in to that and take part so honestly.
