Boot camp style workout. On the River. Amazing way to watch the sun come up and start the day with sweat pouring over your rejuvenated soul. Some ramps, lots of steps, a little concrete, a little grass, all the fixens for beautifully scripted beatdown!

Best Parking is on Cherry Street. **Please be considerate when you park on the side streets, keep the Mumblechatter at a minimum out of respect for the residents.**

  1. Blizzard Beatdown
    Date: February 3, 2022
    Time: 5:30am to 6:15am
    Location: The Wall
    QIC: Geppetto
PAX: 3 total – Coconut, Hannibal, Geppetto

    F3 – Fitness, Fellowship, Faith
Mission –Plant, grow and serve small workout groups for men for the invigoration of male community leadership.
The core principles of F3 are that it must:
    Be free of charge
    Be open to all men
Be held outdoors, rain or shine, heat or cold (except when the governor says we have to stay home)
Be led by men who participate in the workout in a rotating fashion, with no training or certification necessary. You versus you. Modify or stop an exercise if you need to. The most important thing is that nobody gets hurt.
End with a Circle of Trust

The “Thang”: Snowfall prevented us from parking on Cherry Street or at the Hood Park lot, so Coconut found a lot that was plowed behind the Police Station. This was our starting point. We began by taking a warm up jog towards Inside the Five. During the workout we would stop anytime we came across a bench, trash can or flower planter. YHC would then call out an exercise and number of reps. For the first half of the beatdown our rotation of exercises was Burpees, Merkins and Squats. For the second half it was Mountain Climbers, Lunges and Imperial Walkers. We took a nice tour of downtown which included Inside the Five, 5th Street Pub, the library, Kazmeier’s etc.

Mosied back to cars for Count-O-Rama, Name-O-Rama, The Six, Announcements and a prayer. YHC was the Six – EH’d by Colonel, got my name because I worked for a furniture company, keep coming back because there is no way I would be working out in a snow storm by myself!
Prayers for those sick and with COVID and that everyone stays safe.

    Moleskin/Spreadsheet from the Gloom:
Mid 20’s and a little windy. But we tried to keep moving and not stand still for too long
Thanks to Hannibal and Coconut for joining me today!
