We meet in the backside parking lot of the Fort Meigs Historic Site take Rapids Rd right before the bridge to Maumee to find us

What the ruck is a ruck?  A hike with a weighted backpack (approx 30 lbs) while stopping along the brisk walk to do some invigorating exercise. Excellent 1st F (fitness) and 2nd F (fellowship). If an FNG (Friendly New Guy) is a bit timid to post for a workout the ruck is a great intro to the pax.

  1. Backblast – August 30, 2022
AO: Lower Necropolis – Perrysburg, OH
    QIC: Geppetto
PAX: Flo, Brown Bear, Ten Pin, Re-Load, Geppetto, Lego, Oil Change, Illini, Guardian

    Workout: PT Ruck

No FNG’s so right into Mission and Principles:
    F3 – Fitness, Fellowship, Faith
Mission – Plant, grow and serve small workout groups for men for the invigoration of male community leadership.
The core principles of F3 are that it must:
    Be free of charge
    Be open to all men
Be held outdoors, rain or shine, heat or cold
Be led by men who participate in the workout in a rotating fashion, with no training or certification necessary. You versus you. Modify or stop an exercise if you need to. The most important thing is that nobody gets hurt.
End with a Circle of Trust

    The Thang:

2×2 ruck under the MAU/PBG bridge into Orleans Park. Because of yesterday’s storms we encountered some fallen branches and even an entire tree blocking the walkway.

Grounded rucks at Orleans Park. Ten minutes of PT. Ten squat thrusters w/ruck at one end. Run 50 yards, 5 burpees at the other end, run back. Repeato until time is called.

Rucks on, 2×2 ruck along river down to The Wall, up the stairs and then rucking at street level back to Orleans Park and then onto Lower Necropolis.

Count O Rama – Nine, Name O Rame, The Six – Oil Change. Got his name at Fortress because he said he uses exercise as “maintenance”. Keep coming back because he never regrets getting up and working out but does regret when he misses.

We held Al Gore and did a circle of 44 alternating squats to celebrate Brown Bear’s birthday.

Announcements – Iron Pax Challenge has begun

Prayers – Mya, Brody and Cadence

Spreadsheets from the Gloom: Light rain during the ruck, PAX put in some good work. YHC fell down when I missed the sidewalk while talking to Oil Change about OSU vs ND. Need to stay focused! LOL.

It was an honor to lead.
