Bicentennial Beatdown
Conditions: 58 degrees, heavy downpour. PAX waited in their cars until exactly 5:30, questioning their sanity and resolve. At 5:30 the PAX exited their cars and made a dash for a nearby overhang.

Led the PAX on a brisk mosey around to the picnic shelter, through deep enough water to saturate the shoes. Warmed up with Motivators starting at 8 counting down.
The Thang:
200 Merkins
200 Flutterkicks 2:1
200 Dips
Steadily, with good form, proceed with Merkins til exhaustion. When it becomes necessary to pause for a break, stop and do the first exercise, 25 Squats. Resume Merkins til exhaustion, then do the second exercise. At each rest the exercise gets progressively more difficult. The “rest” exercises are as follows:
25 Squats
25 Squats with calf raises
25 Monkey Humpers
25 Lunges 2:1
25 Bonnie Blairs 2:1
25 Lt. Dans
25 Lt. Dans with jump squat
25 Burpees
After completing the 200 Merkins (which some did before having do burpees), PAX had the choice of running approximately a 1/4-mile lap in the rain or doing 50 SSH in the shelter. Upon return, the next round was 200 2:1 Flutterkicks to exhaustion, starting again at 25 squats during the rests. After completing the Flutterkicks, 200 dips. Ended with 50 SSH as a group.
