YHC brought this beatdown back from a visit to Myrtle Beach. The Oyster is a lovely AO located in Surfside Beach which is in the Grand Strand Region. I highly recommend posting at this AO if you’re ever in MB.
For this beatdown I placed 4 cones on the Wabash Cannonball trail starting at the Caboose parked near the town square. Each cone was placed at an interval of 50 meters away for a total of 200 meters. Pax would run to cone 1 and back then cone 2 and back then cone 3 and back, etc. Each time they returned to the first cone they performed 5 merkins. Each time they reached cone 2 they were to do 2 burpees, cone 3=four burpees, cone 4=eight burpees. In order to complete the Pain Train pax would have done 25 merkins and 60 burpees. I called it at 6:00, so we could mosey over to Veterans Memorial Park where we performed “Sevens”.
Pax performed a combined 7 reps each set in 1:6; 2:5, 3:4, 4:3, etc. fashion with a short run (50 meters) in between. The two exercises performed were box cutters and box jumps. (In support of the boxcars pulled by locomotives. )
