We celebrated the 107th anniversary of the birth of The King of Swing: Frank Sinatra

Beginning with our mission statement and five core principles we then did a brief warm-up in cadence before moseying to the farthest point “east” to symbolize Frankie’s birthplace of Hoboken, NJ. There we performed 24 Captain Thors which represented the birthing position of Frank’s poor mother! (Baby Frank weighed in at 13.5#!
We then moseyed to points up and down the main drag of Whitehouse and performed various exercises which the QIC connected to significant events and trivia pertaining to Old Blue Eyes’ life. Some of those events and exercises were as follows:
Liquor store: 55 Hillbilly Walkers to commemorate the effects booze has on the way we walk. And, the year Frank made Jack Daniel’s famous.
Post office: 42 SSH to commemorate the 42 cent stamp issued in Frank’s honor.
Police station: Pickle pounders and monkey humpers to commemorate Frank’s arrest for Seduction and adultry.
Local Thyme: To signify the time Frank spent in his parent’s tavern performing with his ukelele. Hold plank and complete a merkin each time we hear the word “Chicago”. (17)
Toledo Street: 78 LBC’s to commemorate the one concert Frank performed in the Glass City in 1978.
White House Inn: 85 Merkin Circle. Frank actively campaigned for FDR, Truman, JFK and Reagan. Received the Presidential Medal of Freedom from Reagan in 1985.
